Want to run your first campaign in SmartDreamers, but don’t know where to start? This article will help clarify the flow of using the platform to make the most of the wide array of functionalities embedded across the Advertising Module.

The SmartDreamers Advertising Structure

Let’s start with the basics - the structure of the Advertising Module within SmartDreamers. Essentially, the platform here is layered into three different sections: Projects, Campaigns and Ads.

The structure is split as such to give you a complete overview of insights across the Advertising and Reporting Modules. Using these insights will help you understand which projects, campaigns or ads have worked well and will serve as an invaluable source of information for your recruitment marketing initiatives.

The hierarchy of the above sections is important because it guides the flow of creating your campaigns. So, if you want to advertise a recruitment marketing initiative in SmartDreamers, the order in which you create it in the platform is Projects>Campaigns>Ads.

🚀 Pro tip: The logic behind the Projects, Campaigns, Ads structure is similar to the structure of a house:

  • Projects are the foundation of the house (the basis that will support your Campaigns and Ads in SmartDreamers)

  • Campaigns are the rooms/structure of the house

  • Ads are the rooftop of the house - the final step to publishing your work for the world to see.

Following the above structure, a Project can contain multiple campaigns and a Campaign can include multiple ads. Let’s take each element one by one and go through the essentials for each.

🔹 Projects

Projects are the foundation of any recruitment marketing initiative you will create in SmartDreamers. So, before creating a campaign, make sure you create a project first. It all starts here because this is where you determine the main objective: awareness vs. page containing a form.

Your project could range from any type of recruitment marketing initiative you’re planning like promoting jobs, events, talent communities and more.

🔹 Campaigns

After you’ve created your project, you can now move on to the campaigns section.

📖 Note: Create your SmartDreamers campaigns following the steps in this article.

Campaigns can be created from scratch or duplicated and once launched will remain in review with the corresponding advertising channel for 48 hours until they are approved.

🔹 Ads

When the project and campaigns are created, ads are the final step to publishing your message out there. You can publish campaigns using multiple advertising channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Ads, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, Snapchat, Quora and Yahoo), or even job board channels like Indeed.

Once launched, your ads will display the status In Review (Advertiser) for up to 48 hours until they are approved by advertisers.

In case the ad is rejected by an advertiser, its status will automatically be set to Disapproved (Advertiser). This means that the channel’s ad policies would have to be reviewed and the ad submitted again accordingly. A notification with the reason for refusal and suggestions will always be displayed when hovering over the Alert Bell.
