The first step within the Ad Builder allows users to assign a project and purpose for their campaign.
You cannot initiate the creation process within the platform without first completing the following details:
- Name: give your campaign a name that would help with differentiating it (ie. Position or Event Name, along with the Starting Month and Year, etc.);
- Assign the campaign to a project: choose a project from the drop down list (this reflects the listing in the Advertising/ Projects tab);
- Landing Page: choose a landing page from the drop down list (this reflects the Published landing pages listing in the Landing Pages module);
💡 Note: If the projects are imported via the API integration with the Applicant Tracking System, they might already have assigned an external URL, imported with the project. The option will appear first in the Landing Pages drop down list.
This instance is usually related to having custom sources setup up within the ATS. For more information, please check this article regarding the ATS integration scenarios, or contact your Technical Project Manager.💡
- Campaign Goal: choose your campaign goals between Awareness and Applies.
👉🏻 Applies - the campaign you are creating will be used to advertise projects related to Open or Active Positions. For more information on creating a Project manually, please check this article.
👉🏻 Awareness - the campaign you are creating will be used to advertise projects related to general events.
A campaign will always be related to an event created directly through the platform or imported automatically if an API integration is in place with the Applicant Tracking System in question.
In turn, a project could either be an open position or a general event. This does not limit the purpose of your campaign, as you could choose to create an awareness campaign for an open position or any other scenarios.
💡 Note: For more information on the Projects/ Campaigns/ Ads classification please check this article.💡
After completing this first step, either hit Continue to advance to the second step, or Save as Draft.
